About the event

Hosted by Nikki Lanier and featured guest, Matthew Harrell, this intimate and purpose-driven fundraiser in support of April Hearn is more than a campaign event—it is a call to reimagine how Louisville grows.

As the city experiences a surge in development, critical questions remain unanswered: Who is building? Who is benefiting? And who has been systematically left out of the wealth created by these deals?

For too long, public and private investments have flowed through Louisville without meaningful inclusion of Black and Brown developers, contractors, and communities—despite being central to the very neighborhoods these projects aim to serve. The result is a widening gap not just in opportunity, but in ownership.
